Ahmet Ağaoğlu, the President of the Turkish Golf Federation, believes there are many benefits to hosting the European Challenge Tour:

“It means a lot to have the Challenge Tour here,” said Ağaoğlu. “We are establishing a new programme for our young players, for those who have just turned pro or are planning to turn pro. The Turkish Airlines challenge gives these players a chance to compete and show their capabilities on the world stage”.

“As well as that, having a Challenge Tour event is very important for us ahead of the 2016 Rio Olympics, to secure points for the World Ranking, so we are supporting that with this tournament.”

“We are very happy to have Turkish Airlines as our main sponsor and the title sponsors of every professional golf tournament in Turkey, they are supporting golf a lot here.”
