The 2018 edition of the Turkish Airlines World Golf Cup is set to kick off in South Africa on Tuesday 27th February. Once again, the TAWGC is set to affirm its place as thew world’s largest corporate amateur golf series with over 100 events in over 63 countries. Yet again, more than 8000 golfers are set to compete for just 100 places in the TAWGC Grand Finals held in Antalya, Turkey at the Titanic Deluxe Golf Resort later this year.
Johannesburg will the site of the year’s first event as the series returns to the magnificent Blair Atholl Golf Course, one of the crown jewels in the great Gary Player’s prestigious course design portfolio. The second part of the South Africa Swing will see golfers teeing it up once again at Pearl Valley Golf Club at Val de Vie Estate in Cape Town two days later.
The traditional curtain raiser in Mumbai and New Dehli will follow on a week later with Willingdon GC and Classic CGC the respective venues. March 10 also sees the third instalment of the Riyadh qualifier in the first of two Saudi Arabian events in 2018, with Damman added to the calendar this year.
Karachi is once again the first of three Pakistan qualifying events to take place when over 100 golfers tee it up on Sunday March 18th at Defence Authority Golf Club.
Finally, the month of March comes to a close in Dubai as one of the world’s most exciting golf destinations offers another lucky winner the trip of a lifetime to play in the TAWGC Grand Finals with a spot in the Turkish Airlines Open Pro-Am with some of the golf world’s leading names on the line.
